Home Page Design

Create a home page design with Photoshop.* Make sure that your most important content including main navigational links are 'above the fold.' As a general rule keep your home page small and condensed. Create all the images for your site's navigational graphics including the second rollover states of your buttons.

Post this image in your Course Work site on a page and link to it from your Course Work page. To post the image you must make either a gif or jpg version of the image. To do this you must merge the layers. HOWEVER, YOU MUST KEEP A VERSION OF THE HOME PAGE DESIGN AS A PHOTOSHOP IMAGE WITH LAYERS UNMERGED. KEEP THIS PHOTOSHOP VERSION IN YOUR RESOURCES FOLDER.
-You will have to merge the layers to create the jpg or gif version. Use 'Save As' and put it in your public_html folder and post in your Course Work site.

NOTE: This posted version of your home page is just for purposes of the assignment. When you will create your home page from an image you will go back to the original unmerged Photoshop file and use that.

* If your home page design is very simple you may just create an html document (rather than a 'page image' in Photoshop which will be sliced in ImageReady to create an html page).
