Standard HTML formatting
Style sheets (only supported by IE 3.x or Netscape 4.x, defined in the HEAD of the document)
-for creating classes of formatting attributes that are applied globally
-for redefining a standard HTML tag for global application
Standard HTML formatting tags take precedence over styles when both exist in the same document.

• create text
• format text
  • using HTML
    • HTML coding (<B>, <I>, <U>, <H1-5>, color, size)
    • Dreamweaver GUI
  • using styles

Exercise

• Create 2 internal styles for a demo page or a page in your final site.
• Create an external style sheet for your final site using 2 different styles.
  Format at least two pages of demo text (or your final site text) with the external style sheet and check off with me.
