GDT 239 Imaging & Illustration

Description:

In this course students create industry-related illustrations using vector and raster based software programs. Projects include: diagramming information, technical renderings, editorial and promotional illustrations. This course is a program requirement for GDT-Design and Illustration programs. 4 credit hours, 6 contact hours, prereq: GDT 139 and GDT 140

Objectives:

 

• Build technical and conceptual skills

• Demonstrate "Creative Visual Thinking" process
• Determine appropriate workflow options for projects
• Working independently and in groups
• Define design rationale
• Presentations of concepts, thumbnails, roughs, comps and final output for portfolio
