The mission of  Youth-Leadership is to enable youngsters to reach their fullest academic potentials and be responsible citizens.

 


The main objective of Youth-Leadership program is to help youngsters to succeed academically.


Students are taught Communication, Public Speaking  and Leadership skills.

Typical age  of our students is between 12 and 17 years old. There no charge to participants.


Youth-Leadership program is a free community service provided by caring, devoted

and supportive group of Toastmasters, College Students, and Community Members.


Meetings are held at the Parkridge Cener in Ypsilanti every Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 am.

Parkridge Community Center is located on 591 Armstrong Drive, Ypsilanti, MI 48197

Participants will learn:

  1.    Effective speech delivery technics;

  2.    Extemporaneous speaking skill;

  3.    Use of body gestures;

  4.    Use of vocal variety in speaking;

  5.    Use of variation in pitch and volume;

  6.    Use of visual aids;

  7.    How to lead group meetings
