Final Project
The goal of the final project is to create a Web site that uses
quality content and design to reach a specific audience.
The restrictions on content are: no personal home pages, offensive
material or copyright infringement.

General Site Description
Write two paragraphs describing your Web site. Include a general
description of the content and the text, graphics, images, logos,
etc. Discuss how the web site will custom fit the goals and needs
(or limitations) of the client or organization the site will be
designed for.
Site Goals
A short statement identifying two or three goals for your
Web site. This is the foundation of your Web design process.

Site Technology
List the technology involved in your site design. Base this list
upon the information found on page 5 of
the Web Style Guide.
Audience Profile
Write up a profile of your target audience. Describe the typical
user's age, interests, skill level, education. What will your
users expect from your Web site? Where will they access your site
from? What times of the day? For what reasons? Why will they want
to return to the site? (three paragraphs)
Similar Sites
Find three other Web sites that:
Locate, compare and contrast similar sites to the site you will be building for your final project by using search engines, directories and research databases. Your goal is to find out how others with the same goals are using the web to reach their audience. Try using the Michigan Public Library http://mel.lib.mi.us/ to locate good sites. Write a one paragraph description of the site and include an absolute link from the page you will create for this Site Definition and Planning assignment to the similar site you are describing.
